Julie Collette, DipDH, BSc, is a registered dental hygienist who has over six years of clinical experience and is currently working in two private practice clinics in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She is licensed by the College of Registered Dental Hygienists Association of Alberta and is part of the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association. She is also a part-time local anesthetic and dental hygiene refresher instructor at the University of Alberta.
She graduated from MacEwan University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2016 from the University of Alberta. She is currently working on her Master's in Health Studies at the University of Athabasca.
This portfolio will serve as a professional space. It will be used as an integral means of interaction between Julie Collette and members of the online public community. It is meant to share educational material and resources in a responsible, respectful, and open-minded manner with the public and other healthcare professionals.
Julie's professional identity is to educate and empower Canadians to embrace their oral health for better overall health and well-being. She wishes to work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals towards bettering the dental health of all Canadians.

Her key professional obligations and responsibilities in private practice are to her clients. Her role is to provide a high standard of preventative and therapeutic oral health care, as well as oral health promotion. She adheres strictly to CRDHA's Code of Ethics in behaviour and mannerism.
